Update: emailed the los Angeles consulate today, and 9 hours later received the approval 👍

I flew into bangkok My flight back out of Thailand was long after my visa ran out. They looked at it, and accepted it, cause my flight was on the 89th day. Over 90 days-things are more questioned.

Okay thanks. In Chiang Mai it looks like Treasury Pavilion was suggested as a place to start. I will try there at the end of the month when i can get up there.
