I'm looking at requirements for a "TR" Single entry visit from the United States. It says I need to show my flight reservations getting into and out of the country. But I'm not flying into Thailand? How do I go about this? I'm spending June in Vietnam, then getting to Thailand somehow, and staying there for July, August, September, then flying out of Bangkok. Thank you!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on the flight reservation requirements for obtaining a TR (Tourist Visa) Single Entry when traveling from Vietnam to Thailand, initially expressing confusion as their entry into Thailand will not be direct. Several comments suggest buying a bus ticket or proof of travel to Thailand as a workaround, alongside potential options to apply for a visa in Vietnam which could simplify the process.
Let me tell you that if you're in Vietnam prior to coming to Thailand, you will be flying here, unless you're a masochist. If you're only after a single entry TR though, the consulates in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh are easy to use with a 2 day processing time and requirements on the website
You need to buy a bus ticket or something that will prove you are coming to thailand on xxx date AND proof of onward travel that you are leaving thailand within 60-90 days after that,
I'm not sure of the consulate, I guess I haven't gotten that far. I'm very naive and new to the process. I'm from the U.s. I like the idea if getting it in Vietnam, I assume maybe that's a week of waiting time.
Which Consulate? That's usually only for the METV unless you're applying locally to Thailand. The UK doesnt require flights in/out for an SETV. An option is to buy your Tourist visa in Vietnam rather than the US
