Is there a Thai embassy in Cambodia? I know there is one in Ho Chi Minh City. If I'm traveling first through Vietnam, followed by Cambodia in June before I hit Thailand in July, which embassy should I visit? I'll be in Ayutthaya as a tourist July, August, September, and a couple days of October. What visa is best for me? And do I need to set up an online appointment before visiting the embassy? Thanks!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, there is a Thai embassy in Cambodia, but it is advised to apply for your visa at the Thai consulate in Ho Chi Minh City instead, as it may be a tougher process in Phnom Penh. Since you're traveling through Vietnam first, a single entry tourist visa is a good option; you can get a 60-day SETV (Single Entry Tourist Visa) for around ฿1,500, which can be extended by 30 days at an immigration office in Thailand. Neither the embassy in Phnom Penh nor the consulate in Ho Chi Minh City requires an online appointment.

Try to avoid getting a visa in Phnom Penh it’s tough there

@B**
they don't require you have a cambodian bank account you can use ANY bank account you have as long as you can show the equivalent of the 1000 US dollars.

Every consulate that requires proof of funds will let you use any bank account you have to meet the requirements.

you have to show money in a ba nk $1000 US which will not be easy in Cambodia unless your account is there just for starters it’s possible you could get an agent but there shutting that down so proof of onward travel and accommodation good luck

What exactly 'Tough' means?

A single entry tourist visa is VALID for 90 days from the date you get it <- meaning you have that long to ENTER thailand and get stamped in for 60 days.

You could get the visa from a thai consulate in HCMC or in Phnom Penh as long as you meet the requirements at the consulate you're applying.

Remember BOTH the consulate in HCMC and in Phnom Penh only take US dollars for the visa..

Neither of those consulates require appointments. They're both walk up

Get a 60 day SETV then get a 30 day extension at the nearest immigration office when in Thailand for a total of 90 days...60 day SETV is I believe ฿1,500 and a 30 day extension is also ฿1,900....check the website to see if you need to setup an appointment

Apply for a Tourist Visa in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh City /Saigon . Just look and meet requirements. Friendly Thai staffing. No online appointment needed. Apply morning first day, pick up afternoon second day.
