BkK bank don't really want farang accounts. Worse they have been busted for visa agent accounts, mule accounts and scammer accounts so management put the cleaners into foreigner accounts by making extra regulations or the BOT would take action against them.

Maybe this problem: if you apply at your home country embassy you need to be living in your home country. I see you are living in Hanoi. I just got mine in Australia but they asked for 2 extra documents in separate requests 1) further proof of funds 2) marital status. I suspect they are being really tough at the moment The head of immi is shaking the cages

The advice here is almost unifornly to go early. There is no loss of days by going early on a covid 60 day extension if that is your concern. I went on Friday 22nd and Iwent early previously with no loss of days.

you mean they can only give you stamps i got at airports when you leave thailand? They can't do this at immi offices? If that's true then i was just lucky and won a little victory. Ha

I always take my two passports anyway, no big deal. And i like looking at the stamps and visas. I have 12 chinese visas in my old passport

The actual visa is never copied this is what i got at Don Mueang airport immi. I had no need of an embassy letter or stamp, i just showed him the old and new passports. I have successfully used it a few times such as renewing a drivers license
