thank you Stuart, that's very helpful! Yes, just an exempt extension until I finalize my longer term visa. I haven't been to Blue Tree yet, could be an excuse to visit! Thanks :)
thanks, that's true i could try a different office in Phuket. I go to the one closest to us, but perhaps I should make the trip out and try one a bit further and see how that one goes. We go to the one in Phuket town but I forgot there is another one
Thank you, good point! I didn't know you could do bookings for the office in Phuket. I will investigate. I have the TM30 but I'll make sure I have the corresponding one available on hand 🙂
thank you! Yes that was my understanding and I have seen some schools with great reputations I was considering. Perhaps I will just start with language ED for 9 months, then leave and see if I can come back with a visa to study at Chiang Mai University...I was also considering CMU as an option but as I wanted to improve my Thai anyways the language Visa just seemed to be a better fit!
I don't mind teaching English and have done it before, and I do have close Thai friends who run NGOs, but felt that personal education may be the best way to start.
Once I've figured out the best plan of action then I need to do a lot more research on what the visa implications are for my kid and how to get that sorted....that was going to be a separate question one day but if you have any insight I am all ears!!
Thanks! I am exploring different options and then in a couple years hoping to go through iglu if it still is running, but not quite ready for that yet. May continue to ask questions as I sort out the best paths :)
Sounds good! I just know that often official documents say one thing, official themselves say another thing, and then in this group i hear so many "Well...they said this but you may be able to do this, if you do this or in this case...and by the way this office tends to be friendlier" lol Trying to be prepared even if it ends up being some info that isn't as relevant...
