Seriously consider an alternative like Laos. KL has started requiring criminal background checks for all ED visas, despite it not being required per the website or their own documentation. Many people have been denied ED visas at the KL consulate recently, including me.

The link you provided specifically states it's for full-time study. For a one-year program, that's 5 hours per day, 5 days per week. I'll clarify: Singapore only processes degree programs, not the casual Thai language courses most people take. I don't believe Singapore can process my application.

Don't know. The KL attendant said ALL consulates, but I've already experienced consistent misinformation. A student at my school experienced the same issue at KL the day before; she's trying Laos now.

I'll report her experience at Laos when I know.
