I wonder if I should book my plane ticket to Singapore and onward to Thailand then, so that if they send me back..I could book the ticket from there to Vietnam without it costing me a ton of money

I came for 1 month from the UK then got another month extension. I then went back home for 2 weeks and applied for another 2 months. That expired yesterday and they still gave me another month here so you couldn't be more wrong

Go to your local immigration office and pay 1900 baht for a 30 day extension. There's no need to go Laos if it's her first month in Thailand
