Just a heads up, went to CM immigration yesterday for 60 day extension, Non O based on marriage dated to December but as I couldn't leave the Country, expired June.

Set of documents, there was an earlier report that they wanted 2 but I only submitted 1 as the person at Information said that's all I needed, he also stated that a Kor 2 was also needed, this was last week.

Turned up at 10am yesterday, was met by a polite lady at information, she checked my paperwork and then gave me a ticket.

Was called at 10.45 to another pleasant immigration officer and got stamped from 27th September, she gave me back the Kor2 stating it wasn't needed but to hold on to it and do a copy as I'll need it for the yearly extension in November, I asked her if it would still be valid as it's dated 16th September, she said no problem.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their positive experience extending their Non-O visa based on marriage in Chiang Mai. They visited the immigration office with a set of required documents and were initially informed about needing two documents. However, upon their arrival, they were assisted pleasantly and only required one document for the extension. They received their extension stamped until the end of September and were advised to keep the Kor 2 document for future use. Other commenters noted mixed experiences at different immigration offices, highlighting that mood and attitude can significantly affect interactions.

CM was the same last time I went, old bag who was just bloody awkward, that's why I went onto a Non O ME so that I didn't have to face it again, I have a problem dealing with idiots and unfortunately I tell them, not a good idea when you need a visa from them!😉

Bloody hell!! Nice to hear a good experience at immigration. Don’t think you’d get that result in Pattaya. They can be proper awkward there with their grim faces on - no matter how well you speak to them/ smile. Well done.

...I used to drink in a bar in Jomtien where an immigration officer used to frequent and after a few months eventually got to know him and he told me he was briefed as a rookie in the immigration service to not share pleasantries with "Farangs" whilst working cos' it can take twice as long to deal with them ! FACT 😟

I take it u had the TM30 all sorted out.

Did they also asked for pictures (photos) of u and ur wife, whether in front of the house or not... what about hand drawn map... etc?

I know that would (usually) be for the annual extension and not a 60-day-visit-family one...

Just hear contradictory stories (which i also understand comes down to the mood of whoever u get at the counter)

As you say, those are required for the annual extension but not for the 60 day extension. My stamp is good till 26th November. They didn't mention the TM 30 but I do that online, so I presume it's in the system.
