when I used to do this they wouldn't allow a same day turnaround. This may have changed. But if I were you I would assume you need to stay at least until the next day.

as I mentioned above, if you get a Charles Schwab account they will refund the 220 baht fee ATM withdrawal that Thai banks charge, unlimited. What I am most curious about is what the markup on standard exchange rates are when making an ATM using a foreign bank card .

Anyone in this thread have knowledge of that?

yeah , I’m referring to the original poster saying he has a Schwab bank account, which i have as well. It’s an American card that refunds all ATM fees which is great.

What I am talking about is the exchange rate mark up charged by Thai banks. I’m not even sure what they are But this being Thailand, I’m sure they are substantial.
