[Is it possible to enter MALAYSIA more than once during 180 days?]

Does anyone have some experience travelling to Malaysia more often? Informations in the Internet are not clear, can someone help me with that?

I am Polish. I have multiple entry tourist visa in Thailand. So far I did one visa run to Malaysia (stamp below) and now I would like to visit it for longer.

1. I would like enter Malaysia on 30/31.01. by bus and stay there around 7 days.

2. After that I would like to take a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Bali, stay there 7 days, after which take flight back to Kuala Lumpur and then bus back to Thailand.

My questions are:

A. How many times can I enter Malaysia still? can I still do it twice as I plan?

B. Will I receive the visa on arrival every time I come to Malaysia?

C. How many days do I have to stay in Malaysia before I will be allowed to enter Thailand on the way back?

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry revolves around the possibility of entering Malaysia multiple times during a 180-day span with a focus on the experience of a Polish traveler. The comments suggest that there are generally no strict limitations as long as one does not overstay their visit. Malaysia typically issues a tourist pass that allows stays of up to 90 days, and re-entry is generally permitted. Travelers may face some questioning from immigration if they frequently enter and exit the country, but as long as they provide truthful explanations of their travel plans, they shouldn't encounter significant issues.

Yes, no problem. Thailand allows it, Malaysia most certainly does too.

That stated, I think Malaysia has even less tolerance towards misusing their visa exemption/tourist visa scheme than Thailand does and will start asking questions if you use them to reside in the country.

For example, someone spending the entire 90 days in the country then doing a border run to Thailand and coming back the same day is likely to be questioned. Or if not the first time, by the second time they will be.

No restrictions if you stay for a few days and exit. Immigration might question you but you just tell the truth you’re transiting to Thailand. No worries malaysia is a very friendly country

Romanian passport, went to Malaysia 3 times during 2 months, no problem.

I have been traveling to Malaysia for years. That stamp is not a visa, it is tourism pass and allows you to stay up to 90 days. You can leave the country and return and get the same stamp again.

Your answer is really helpful, thank you! Do you know how many days do I have to stay in Malaysia before I will be allowed to enter Thailand on the way back?

At least one night. Best make a trip out of it and spend say 3 days in Malaysia before returning. Besides, going all the way to Penang from Hat Yai for one night is pretty tiring.

when I used to do this they wouldn't allow a same day turnaround. This may have changed. But if I were you I would assume you need to stay at least until the next day.

that I am not sure, as it used to be one day, but I don't know if that has changed.

no limit or requirement. You can do as you wish with your plan

It would help if you added the country your passport is from to your post.
