oh, I see, an "attitude" that expects someone to do even the most basic research themselves? that sure is pretty nasty and brutal wake up to the real world. you play junior secretary for everyone all you want; all you're doing, then, is enabling them never to do for themselves.

maybe, but this group is not to be someone's secretary-- he had failed to do even the most basic research, saying the embassy won't tell him anything?! What??! and it didn't dawn on him to look at their website, where even if currently not granting them, the requirements of a retirement Visa would be listed.

the old, "just give them the fish, or teach them how to fish".

now someone reads the requirements and some aspect is confusing, then having done ur basic research, now pose a specific question.

you want to retire to Thailand but dont seem to have researched much at all about the place to which you want to retire? have you read any current Thailand news? googled different aspects about living in Thailand, requirements for " retirement" visas ( you would have quickly learned that there is no such thing as a "permanent retirement visa"), or anything else to get a greater sense of what's going in in Thailand now?

certainly, ask specific questions, but to indicate u cant get the info-- it's available in great quantities-- yes, uncertainty about how Thailand will re- open, but by research, you'd have discovered that.
