I have bought SETV at Thai embassy in Vientiane, Laos in the past.
But things have changed a bit as I can see. New requirements are in place.
PLEASE, answer only if you have successfully bought a SETV in Vientiane(NOT ANY OTHER LOCATION) in 2022(!!!) and have first hand experience.
NOT pre-covid experience, cuz I have it too 55
• 1) Is simple(no wet stamps etc) print out of statement from FOREIGN online bank in USD enough?
• 2) Is just unpaid booking from for example booking.com enough? Does it have to be 60 days?
• 3) I plan to enter Thailand via land border. So no tickets for that.
Will only outward refundable plane ticket to some SEA country in 60 dats will be enough?
As I know embassy in Vientiane used to be one of the easiest to get SETV without leaving SEA.
Is it still the same? Or there are better choices for SETV now?
Some people suggest me consulate at Savvanakhet. But I HAVE TO enter Laos by air, and there are no flights from Thailand to Savvanakhet as I’m aware..
And I also plan to take a trip to VV and LPB on a new train once I get my visa..
But could take a detour to Savvanakhet if necessary..
I’m aware of appointments booking system and 3 days processing time at VTE.
That’s okay with me.
