💯, to be fair a lot of his stuff is probably “click bait” I don’t get how someone can be an educated lawyer , and have wild war left views on everything 🤷🤦🏼‍♂️

What they need to do is clean up the visa exempt category. Make it cut and dry visa exempt 90 days in any 180 day period. Not having at the will of the IO for example people can be denied if they do 2 x 2 week entry’s back to back.

But as much as Ben is a bit of Tw*t I think he made some good points such as the visa won’t turn out to be what it’s sold as.

If it’s only 6 months I’d say just use a travel insurance from your home country. A lot of credit cards offer free travel insurance also if you spend for example $500 AUD towards your travel expenses.

Also depends on your age and health circumstances, if you are under say 50 healthy, etc I would just use travel insurance as “accident coverage” if you need a dentist or GP it’s cheap enough just to pay out of pocket if your travel insurance didn’t include it.

That’s my thoughts any way !

I can see this whole DTV thing being blown up in the next 6 months , especially with the recent changes in governments

Yes apply on the same day as long as your documents are in order. In fact I’d recommend it , since some country’s have limited stays ( 30 days) some people have been know to have extended processing times of extra docs are required
