Why do you think every foreigner with a Thai bank account is affected? Did someone tell you that? I have several accounts in more than one bank and neither of them have been frozen, and it won't even happen.

"Like many"? Only relatively new accounts have been frozen, and your account is new. Very few are affected when it comes to the total amount of foreign accounts.

Which office is that and which bank? I'm not buying immigration is"warning" anyone about a "certain" bank. Immigration can in seconds see if a bank account is kosher just by looking at bank statements and bank books.

So you think the majority of foreign accounts in Thailand are frozen? It's a small portion of them and they are relatively new. There are also reasons for these accounts being frozen.Stop whining about everything.

It's preferred by people who actually wants to stay long term in Thailand doing annual extensions. A lot of people going for the O-A Visa are using it 1-2 years without extending it at immigration.

You can also get a re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi if you're leaving by air.
