I’ve been using Thai banks long before I received my DTV but I’ve also heard of cases where people opened Thai bank accounts with a DTV visa.

The same went for me in August. The immigration officer even shut down the lane to consult with her neighbor booth on how to process it lol. I guess it was really an unusual visa back then as it was just announced.
