 Yes... I applied under Workcation in Malaysia, once approved my wife went to Vietnam and applied as a spouse/dependent. Two separare applications and payments. We had to show 1,000,000 baht for wife's application (500k each) as it was a joint account. We already live in Thailand as we arrived on METV before DTV was available.

I put 365 days for my wife and I and we had no issues getting approved. I personally think they use it to determine if this is the right visa for you. If you were staying for 60 days then maybe this isn't the right visa for you.
