Hi, I'm a Filipino DTV holder, and I have been in Thailand since September.

I am only basing this from my experience but the PH IO didn't ask me for an OEC. The only question they asked me was why I'm staying in Thailand until December, and all I said was that I work remotely - and I plan to come back home for the Holidays. No other document checks (although I was prepared).

Incase you're asked by the IO for an OEC, I would recommend first that you explain that you are not an OFW, and that you hold a DTV (I can only assume it's for Workcation at this point) but then again, it differs from one IO to another.

Good luck!

Hi
@Je**
!

Yes I've been in Thailand since September 21.

The PH immigration officer only asked me why my stay is too long as my return flight is in December. I just said "remote worker po ako" and no other questions, the IO didn't even ask to see any supporting documents (although I have them ready, Cert of Employment stating I can work remotely, Payslips, and Bank Cert - I over prepared, and had all documents they could possibly ask for, that I could think of). I guess it'll be case by case, depending on the immigration officer.

Re: the OEC, you're right - this document isn't something we would need (and the IO should ask for) - as we are techically not OFWs. Incase they do, I would recommend you explain to them the DTV visa you have for Thailand which I assume is under the workcation category.

Goodluck on your flight!

Hi Hannah! I'm Filipino and I was able to obtain the Destination Thailand Visa at the Royal Thai Embassy in Manila.

- Appointment Requirements:

-- Appointment Needed? No appointment is necessary. The embassy accepts walk-ins from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).

- Processing Time (I applied September 9th, got my passport back on September 12th with the Visa sticker on)

-- The total time for my application, including waiting, was approximately 20 minutes (when I applied). And less than 10 minutes when I collected my passport.

- Requirements Submitted:

-- Employment Contract:

A signed job offer from my current employer in the Philippines.

-- Certificate of Employment:

This document included the company name, salary details, date of hire, job position, and stated the purpose as "Visa Application."

It also confirms my authorization to work remotely.

-- Bank Certification:

A statement from a local bank showing a balance exceeding 500,000 Baht (converted from PHP), specifically for visa application purposes.

-- Photos:

Two recent passport-sized photos (3.5 x 4.5 cm) with a white background.

-- Visa Application Forms:

Completed Visa Application Form and Supplementary Form for Filipinos (available on the embassy's website).

-- Passport:

Original passport plus a photocopy.

Visa Fee:

Amount: 18,000 PHP (cash only).

Hi,
@Ken *****
. Mine is a 1 page sticker on my passport, which I prefer than eVisa PDF (I believe is the only option from the Royal Thai Embassy in MNL.)

Hi
@El***
, good afternoon.

I've been reading through the posts in this group, and I have completed all the requirements for the 30-day Visa extension (I entered Thailand from the Philippines through the Visa exempt policy on July 1). Kindly help me know which immigration office I need to go and submit my application? I am currently staying in Phra Khanong BKK and I am unsure where to go and do my application. Your assistance is appreciated! 🙂
