ARE YOU SERIOUS???? Unless you must retire in Thailand ( Thai wife, Thai children), I don't see the point. it is just not worth the hassle. I spent all my life doing the LEAST amount work to survive. I aint following any of that. Rather retire in the Philippines where none of that bureaucracy exists. Hotter women, speak American. Food sux so does Thai food

I am sure Mehico has as many beautiful PLAYAS as Thailand, it not more. Heck they are most famous for it. Their food is top notch. Weather is much nicer. Spanish is easier to learn than Thai. Rather listen to their music. Only thing Thailand has (for now) is it is more Safe. I am with OP
