I use Wise regularly and have never had a problem.

Check you haven’t been Scammed or the website and the website link you used hasn’t been duplicated by scammers. Go to an old email and use the contact detail on that email. Scammer are very convincing with duplicate email links

ok but I’ve never in 18 years had to do a TM30 except when entering Thailand and I have traveled extensively in the country

Maybe don’t use your passport and just use your drivers license. I’ve even travelled on Bangkok air with and expired drivers licence. If immigration has a problems just offer some tea money. It’s not that hard
