David Mcmillan I'm more talking about an international multi-currency account. In HKG I have 12 currencies in 1 account and I can send/receive from/to 90% of countries in the world. In Thailand they don't allow that or they take a rediculously high fee. Thats why i said: check the small print.
On a regular savings or current account yes but some banks offer multi-curreny accounts also (under strict conditions and I strongly recommend reading the small print) I for one would never do it in Thailand but keep my multi-currencies accounts in HKG and/or SGP. as always, get well informed before. In the endtl depends on your situation and your own private priorities.
David Mcmillan They used to accept it for sure as long as it comes out 800k when THEY do the math.
BUT my info is a bit dated so better wait till you get some more feedback from people who did it recently. Things tend to change overnight here sometimes so I'm getting carefull with giving advice. 😉
