@Gil ****
ah, I had given Tod detailed report directly after but forgot about this comment. I got the 15 day under consideration but only after a long time and quite some pleading.

Germany doesnt, I called Friday. US neither.

Thank you so much Tod. This is incredible news for the few of us who were cut out by that rule the past 2 months and getting ready to leave. I'm in awe by your way to share and correct information. In my case, I might be able to save 2 of my kittens from the street thanks to this. Me and them owe you big time.

yes, and without your help and this amazing group I might have never known. Will be at an immigration office tomorrow morning and report back here. Looking good. I owe you.

woah, is this real? So without divulging the actual office, you are saying that people who were on ED at some point might have a chance? Sean, I'll send you a pm to find out more.

Anyone who had to change to an ED visa sometime in the middle of the Covid show been able to get another Covid extension today with the new rules? I know it's unlikely and early, but it would be awesome if this silly arbitrary rule was scrapped. I'll probably try on Monday here in BKK.

Thank you, Tod! It's been a fun ride and you were one of the most supportive, rational and fun voices during this pandemic in Thailand. Keep up the good work, if you want to grab a beer in BKK in the next days I'll happily invite you...before I make my way out of this country (my last Covid extension ends March 31, let's see if I get a cute one day overstay before crossing back to Malaysia on April 1 when they open up).

I read your requirements above, and while I love Ao Nang/Krabi where we live, the rainy season here does suck. And the food options got boring quickly. Also, there's hardly any cool english speakers to meet (the local expat community is very small). We spent a couple of weeks on Phangan recently, loved it and will shift there for a while once this wave hopefully is over.

That being said, if you can handle some rain every day, don't really care about meeting many people the next half year and can pay a bit of a premium for higher end villa/restaurants, then the magic of an tourist empty Krabi is right here. It's pretty f***ing amazing actually. The clouds and sunsets right now are out of this world.

Joe, while getting advice in other groups, as admin of Ao Nangs largest admin group you can maybe also unblock me there so I can continue to give and get advice from others here in this situation (I was banned by Joe weeks ago, apparently for being "alarmist" about the pandemic which he didn't like). I have the same issue at Krabi immigration but my stamp expires 3 days before yours. I'd be very happy to share my experience in *your* local group if you let me participate again. Thanks.
