 in Phuket maybe, most of Thailand doesn't rely on tourists to survive.

 I live here, most businesss don't rely on tourists. Maybe in places like Phuket but most places in Thailand will never see a tourist, let alone rely on them, as they cater towards locals.

 yep, I know their embassy in Thailand says tourist visa and e-visas are suspended. Assuming that's the same for rest of their embassies but haven’t checked
