I provided a cover letter along with bank docs, portfolio docs to support my work claim. There was a limit on how many docs I could add so I basically provided a list of what I was doing. You won't be dinged if you provide more than needed but you may be if you provide less.
Anonymous participant 448 I'm aware of the rule. I literally noted it in my reply so thanks for repeating what I already said and ignoring the point I made?
Am I sure I can apply for the DTV again in 2030? How many things should I be sure about in 2030? Lol come on.
Anonymous participant 448 it's already been mentioned but that you think 5 years is temporary is pretty wild. Like I get that it's a"temporary visa" but let's not act like people who are applying for it are only planning on spending 3 months in Thailand and going home.
While it's definitely unfortunate, if it was the opposite, meaning they had assessed you as being approved but rejected you by an administrative error then that would be something. In your case they are saying they planned on rejecting you, the system batched you in with approvals, they found the error and corrected it.
Outside of the fact that you were given mistaken hope for a couple of days, the point is that you were rejected because that's what they determined when they reviewed your file.
Well I would highly highly highly suggest you hold that cash in the account for 3 months because the odds you will be rejected because you have a hugely negative account and one that just had money inserted into it is very high. Even without showing the negative account the odds of rejection are fairly high.
"I'm taking a loan of my house to make the minimum holding number" doesn't scream "Yeah we want to give that person a 5 year visa to the Kingdom"
You should show whatever account that has held your cash assets and submit that along with the account you just put the money in. If it shows something other than cash assets and a negative balance you have to ask yourself what the people receiving the application are going to think about it.
Showing an account that just received the money but didn't have it prior is unlikely to be in your favor.
From my experience it won't but you're best to show both and explain on the first page. They are looking to see if you have the asset in cash and can easily use it for living expenses which it sounds like you do.
if you look at this or the previously mentioned EV, immigration officials have asked for updates and as one poster here noted who was taking a Thai course, spoke to them in Thai only presumably to gauge whether they were taking it.
You're welcome to FAFO as they say but if you can hold a remote job or earnings from abroad I don't see why you would choose to sign up for and possibly be asked about proof of your ongoing classes any time you return to the Kingdom especially as Thailand is known to pivot off previous decisions (see the current change in weed legalization proposed).
