Google wallet and Voice I think aren’t supported in Thailand — also some workplace admin features but otherwise makes no different really. Keep UK and open another account for Thailand if you can.

Check ur BBL statement via the app for exact name - then cancel the first and do a new transfer using the exact spelling. Should be fine after that. Recent policy changes likely resulted in some name checking thing which screwed things up.

Personally, I think you should just visit Hanoi for a week and apply there. Leave out all those business registration and tax documents. Just apply as a freelancer with proof of invoices and deposits. You’ll be approved if you keep it simple.

I think fake marriages are far fewer than fake Muay Thai stayers on a DTV. Those raising Thai kids and supporting extended family’s get the most scrutiny.
