Can I use funds from a fixed term savings account to apply for a DTV in Thailand?

Applying for DTV. I have enough money in my bank account but it’s currently in a fixed term savings account. Is this ok or does it strictly need to be in an account I can access whenever? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) in Thailand, it's important that the funds in your bank account are liquid and easily accessible. Although some users have had success reporting that fixed term savings accounts were overlooked, the general consensus is that having instant access to your funds is necessary for meeting the visa requirements.

The most of my savings are on long term and not for direct access, I gave them all bank info in German, so they didn’t know and all good ;-)

As long as you have instant access...

ah ok. I think it’s possible to access but I’d be heavily penalised for doing so. I’ll have to move some money about. Might have to delay my DTV application 3 months now :/

Anonymous participant I have an ISA which is fixed term but accessible if need be. Not sure if that counts as instant access

It needs to be liquid and accessible.

Anonymous participant 791 do you know if they would consider an ISA liquid? It’s fixed-term but can be accessed

Accessible is accessible, even if it costs you dearly, it’s still acceptable :-)

according to Google ISA is not ok. My fixed term saver accounts aren’t either. I will have to move some money around and wait 3 months to apply

Anonymous participant depending on where you are applying you don’t need to have money in account for 3 months

Some countries accept a week or more

Anonymous participant all my savings are tied up in an ISA - I sent all the documents I could showing dates and amounts, and they accepted my application (from London embassy) - maybe there are different rules though depending on where you're applying from >.<
