Hmm, here is hoping that the statement I requested last week will suffice. There was no discussion about international transfers. The statement was requested as I had no clue that I needed to go maybe monthly to update bankbook. You only get the most recent 2 months of updates when you stick book in machine. I foolishly thought it would give me everything since my last book update in Feb. Oops, wrong. So I paid for and requested a statement for all activity since I opened the account last Feb.

Didn't mean to imply that this wasn't according to rules or was an issue with immigration. What happened makes sense. Just sharing my experience for the expectations of others.

Thanks! Yes, I know I need to continue insurance if I extend the O-A. And as I said I would have insurance regardless of visa type. I suspected leaving the country, returning on shorter visa of some sort, then extending that visa might be the process. Think I'll still consider that some day but doubt it will be this year as who knows what state borders, etc. will still be in even late this year.

Yes, I also came in on my O-A in Feb 2020. My health insurance was naturally issued before my visa so that I could demonstrate that I had it. The result when entering thru BKK was that they set my must exit date to be the expiration date of my insurance as opposed to being one year from date of entry. So they effectively shortened my first year to less than a year.
