Yeah, i thought the same: should be the same in any consulate, so why pay twice if I can apply in advance and do not need to go to Laos... I was obviously wrong:) as for the Laos - school gave us contacts of some company who make those trips to Laos, but we (me and my husband) found one much cheaper and went with them. It was smooth and quick except that the trip is a bit tiring by itself:(
I am also in Pro language school, but Bangkok. They advised me to go to Laos, but I decided to apply in my home country in advance. Though they thought it was a bad idea. Well, I was denied and had to come on stamp and still go to Laos. So I would recommend to follow the advises:) and no, the consulates won’t give you the paperwork back:(
baht in Pattaya. And it was told by immigration officer. May be they misunderstood and it was some ppl trying to “help”. As it should be free except of visa fee itself. So they have some attitude towards Pattaya office... not sure too! As never dealt with it...
no, I mentioned that they plan to do it next time when they come. They are on 6 month tourist visa now. Sorry for confusion. I guess they are also confused when is better time to make it. As now they will leave until next fall
Should they bring residence certificate? Or only bank statements? How long will it take to get this single entry? They plan to do that next time. But as you mentioned it should be done 15 days before their admitted date of stay it could be a problem... if they come using visa on arrival - it will give them 15 days in total so should they go to immigration the same date? (They are from Kazakhstan)
Something like that should be posted in every group. Every time I have any question I would like to ask in any kind of group - I feel nervous to post it as I faced so many aggressive comments to some simple questions. I feel bad for ppl that are so unhappy that they like to tease others. Or whatever it is. Thanks for the post.
