But makes no sense he just came back, then he should know what he need to come back again and the re entry stamp? Well nothing is logical.

in penang Malaysia the documents was valid 30 days 2 years ago. Not that it will help you a lot but a 30 day time frame seems reasonable.

When you have a single entry 3 month business visa you have to get a single re-entry or multi re-entry stamp. On multi entry 1 year you don't need that stamp.

You can get it at immigration or in airport before you stamp out your passport
