Yes and yes. You can top up with credit card in the app and pick a new plan,

Currently i pay 97 baht per week for unlimited internet (not full speed, but good enough for SM and YouTube)

My first plan was a 6 month Net Marathon package. 800 baht for 6 months. 100gb/month (not full speed)

For the Net Marathon you have to go to a local AIS shop though.

What made you think we didn’t? 180+ days make you tax resident regardless of visa.

However IF the money you bring into Thailand is already taxes in your home country AND there is a double tax treaty; you don’t pay pay additional tax.

Still have to file tax returns and be able to document it was already taxed

Indeed. I got confirmation when I applied residency certificate at Immigration. “Sir, you have to submit 90 day report on this visa, don’t forget! “

Depends on your visa, less than 3 months visa almost impossible. With work permit, long term medical treatment, ED visa, retirement visa, elite visa, condo ownership. LTR and others its easy.

Just as a tourist, no way. (And no point)

Scam isn’t the right term as people get provided an actual valid license. It is however technically illegal and based on bribery
