yes I know how long a visa last but how long prior to travel can I apply for one

I understand that but what’s the maximum amount of time prior to travel not after the visa been granted. I applied for one in July to travel on the 30th of November but when it came back it need to be used by the 22nd of September even though they had my dates of travel

I have looked on thai web site only need to be fully vaccinated and as Pet passport should be no problem
