make sure you get a copy of the ID card for the landlord just in case they refuse.

Apply in Indonesia. Bit less crowded.

For Indonesian consulates you need:

- proof of travel (in and out of thailand)

- proof of accomodation (at least 1 week booked)

- copy of bank statement with proof of funds (at least 700 usd or equivalent)

With Penang for accomodation proof you need the entire stay.

No need for tourist.

Just fill in the address where you are staying, and no need to provide any proof.

Minority report style.

“Your visa has expired, a police van has been dispatched to your location”

if you have no dealings with immigration, chances are you'll probably get away with it on that previous entry.

But its better to just do it. But the process is very fast in Chiang Mai at the airport, It takes like 10 minutes of your time.

If you haven't used all your land border bounces, just do one in Mae Sai for a visa exempt.

It’s always Better to extend. But also changing your flight is another option also.

Get a SETV from a nearby country while travelling South East Asia.

Takes maybe a day of your time out of your travels.

Laos is the best no documentation needed.

Other countries you might need to plan a little and prepare some docs, get a week of accomodation lined up (use agoda and find something with pay at property and have a cancellation period), book flights (ideally with a free cancellation period), and sometimes they might ask for a bank statement.

If you need one you should never rely on them doing one for you and just ask.

Most places do not bother.
