I am in Chiang Mai. From what I know people in Pattaya have to present the bank book after 3 months again to immigration, for this they have to sign a specific letter at the time of extension. No such thing in CM and again what I heard is a yearly statement at the next extension is enough. But so far this is all hearsay, nobody could confirm one or the other.
