"Immigration officials can be found on the 2nd floor of Central Festival Samui from 11 am to 4:30 pm from September 21 to 24. Those who want to use the service must first register via a QR code or by contacting Surat Thani Immigration directly on their Facebook page. The mobile service will also be made available in preparation for the end of the "Visa Amnesty" on September 26th."

, any idea how to register. No form on their website and can not find a facebook page under their name either, only Samui office

i think by scanning the QR code, there seems to be a form then. there are apps for qr code scanners, very easy

Yes, so it is impossible to get an extension if your visa is still valid, or if you do not have the necessary funds for 2 months.

they have already been to Koh Tao. It’s a normal (Surat Thani) immigration service but you don’t have to travel to them.

The rest of rules and requirements all still apply if you want an extension of stay (no free amnesty or free stamps just because).

foreigners allowed to stay (note the word "allowed"!) without registration will simply be rejected. there are rules to follow and no free visa handout to everybody including chicken wings with french fries and sour cream dip
