if you marry Thai....wife can do...if renting...landlord do it...someone has too...it is this country's way of keeping track of everybody...be weary TM30 are not going away

TM30 is a must if you leave Thailand...I never did mine for over 10 years...when they checked I was fined.... 1700baht...it has always been there...now they are enforcing it...good luck

I am not saying once you return there are TM30 concerns...BUT if you don't do it they will nail you when you return to immigration again. It is your responsibility to get it stamped...I would not rely on a landlord to do it. Best to get your own TM30 slip in your passport...good luck

Fòr all those concerned....it is best to keep updated...departure card, 90 day card and TM30 card IN YOUR PASSPORT at all times. These are important

They don't seem to push the TM28 in Chiangmai but they do check the TM30... Not hard to do but a slight pain in the arse...when can they link all the computer programs together..this is the 21st century...

I am in Chiangmai...thanks for the tips...I will take copies and book with me. If you use an agency they take your passport and bank book..so a little trust is needed there. But you don't have to wait long line ups.
