I live in Jomtien and travelling backwards and forwards from Bangkok weekly. There was initially a ban on inter province travel but it was cancelled a couple of day's after it was set up.

There used to be a free shuttle bus from BKK if you could show you ticket.

doesn't matter where the money comes from if savings. Must be there minimum 60 (but possibly 90) depending on which immigration. I trued to make this method inside the country last year but had more than enough money coming from outside but nit same date. They told me if 400,000 for 60 days they would give me. Much easier outside the country in Savanahkhett

monthly income must almost the same day every month also but cannot miss a month.

First time I was caught out I was fuming. 3500 to make a 30 day extension. I like so many people assumed that the address I wrote on the arrival card was enough.

there is a strong chance that you will need this. It is a very good way for immigration to make money. I believe the calculation is 500 baht per day but they tend to cap it at 1600 baht.
