My DTV is on “pending approval “ but my wife has became very sick and I need to return to Thailand. it’s only been 2 days since I submitted. Should I email the embassy asking to go ahead and approve or not email and just enter on a tourist visa then renter when it’s issued ? Thank you for your help 🙏

If your wife is very sick then I would enter on a tourist visa then reenter when issued.

Where did you submit the application?

What's your passport nation?

What purpose for the DTV visa are you seeking to get it ?

Workcation?

Muay Thai training?

Cooking school?

Medical or dental Care?

Or ???

I'm sorry to hear of your wife being sick.

It appears that we are seeing more posts which say they're going to return to Thailand while their application is still awaiting the decision of the Thai Embassy or Consulate.

It's not wise to go. As we are seeing increased requests for added documents and even interviews with the Thai Embassy or Consulate.

Use your best judgement...

Take care of yourself and your wife.
