Askin a question on behalf of my uncle.

He a norwegian that is married to a Thai wife.

He been staying in Thailand for 10+ years on retirement visa.

In past Norway embasy have give documentation regarding income. But now the are stopping to provide this service from May.

The problem, is that they staying in 2 seperate houses in different towns. Because wife stay there with kids for better schools and take care of her father.

Is he required to show 800k or 400k optional monthly 65k or 40k?

I assume they can performe check if they live in same house or not, and will if be enough if provide these reasons?

He is 83y old, so clearly not type of marrige anymore...

I have retirement non o visa status and just renewed my 1yr extension.

Plan to move in with my girlfriend who rents a house. What paperwork do I need for immigration purposes? At the moment I have a lease on a condo as my permanent address ,but I will give that up. So for a new tm30 etc. What do I need?

Hi everyone, I’m planning to retire to Thailand hopefully within the next few months. I have one question and that is once in Thailand I’m going to be living with my girlfriend in her house, would that be an issue regarding my first yearly extension.

Do I need to rent a house or a condo and show immigration the rental contract or living with my long time girlfriend in her house would that require showing any kind of documentation.

I think in advance for all your advice. 🙏

Hello Thai Visa team,

I have a peculiar situation with tm30 which might be a non-issue but I need a little clarity just in case if it may create issues for my extension of stay based on marriage.

I am an Indian passport holder, coming to Thailand in Jan’23 on Non-Imm Category O 90 days single entry visa. I intend to do a one year extension based on marriage to a Thai citizen.

We already have the Kor Ro 22 and other required documents/money.

My wife is from Ubon Ratchathani and initially I will stay with her in her house so we will do the tm30 in Ubon immigration.

Due to some personal reasons I will have to go and stay in Petchaboon province for few months in my friends house, so ideally I will have to re-register my tm30 there.

My wife won’t be able to go with me as she has a job in Ubon.

As I land in Thailand in Jan so I will have to apply for extension in March sometime, at this time I will be in Petchaboon.

My question is as I have to apply for extension and immigration expects to see that I am living with my wife, would the tm30 from Petchaboon province work at the time of extension or would immigration object that my wife lives in Ubon so why my address is in another province concluding we don’t live together (which is true but that’s temporary as I plan to be back to her house by April)? Can I tell them she stays with me in Petchaboon which would not be completely true as she will be in Ubon the whole time except few weekends back with me.

So my options are:

- Keep tm30 from Petchaboon and tell immigration that we live there together.

- Keep tm30 from Petchaboon and tell immigration she lives in Ubon and I am temporarily here in Petchaboon.

- Move back to Ubon in month of March, re-register tm30 there and apply from there.

- Some other better option that I don’t know of.

I apologise for the long post but as I mentioned it’s a peculiar situation and I had to clear all points for any possible suggestions.

I finished my quarantine yesterday and tried to rent a condo but couldn’t find a suitable one yet. I am now living in my friend’s dormitory. I want to ask about the TM30, what should I do if I haven’t rented a condo, and when is the deadline to report my accommodation, will I be fined by the immigration office? Thanks!

Thanks Tod for sharing this information. Very useful !

This way work for all type of Visa?

I am in tourist visa and have a french Passport.

The lease is under my French boyfriend name. This is no my name on it.

He has a work permit.

Can I fill the TM30 by myself and go to Chaengwattana alone within 24 hours to notify my address?

May be I should have with me a copy of my boyfriend passport and work permit and also an invite letter from him that I live in his house during my stay ?

I am asking for my next tourist visa plan in august and I will extend it, so I know they will ask me for TM30.

Thank you in advance :)

Hello everyone, I have a retirement visa that I'm on. My question is, my wife has a restaurant and I will move there and live upstairs. What do I or does she need to do for the reporting? I'm confused as to who does what report. Thanks.
