TLDR : Answer Summary
Staying on a sailboat in Thailand can present challenges due to the lack of a physical address, which is important for certain immigration procedures like the TM30 reporting requirement. There are affordable accommodation options available, which some expats may utilize instead, such as renting rooms. Additionally, the experience of living without a permanent address may vary depending on individual circumstances and practices, as evidenced by different user experiences regarding the TM30.
