A few questions regarding housing and the visa process:
I have applied for the ED visa and my passport is currently with immigration, awaiting the visa.
I haven’t found a long-term apartment yet because I’m waiting to get the visa first. I don’t want to commit to long term housing in case my visa is denied. Does that make sense?
As I am moving between short term housing, the owners are creating TM 30s to register me (I assume), but do I also need to update my visa application each time?
How do you normally handle this, when technically you don’t have authorization to stay in the country long-term, but the government wants to know where you going to live long-term?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is awaiting their ED visa in Thailand, with their passport submitted to immigration. They are hesitant to secure long-term housing until their visa is approved, opting for short-term accommodations instead. Questions arise about whether they need to update their visa application upon moving and how to manage TM 30 registrations created by temporary housing owners. Responses clarify that frequent updates to the visa application are not required, but the poster does need to notify immigration regarding any address changes.
