I just got an EDU visa in Laos. Is it better to flight to BKK or to cross the friendship bridge by walk? Becouse of all of this problems with immigration that other people have, I am totally afraid even though I never do anything bad.

Hi,

Currently I am staying in Thailand on Edu visa(language).

I am moving out of Thailand. If I want to come back after a few months, is it possible by getting re-entry permit?

Hi

I want to ask about EDU visa extension case.

I got a edu visa on July and 1 st extension is 10 sept.

My school said they are waiting MOE letter for 1st extension.

My question is what will happen if I don’t get MOE letter on time ?

Why do I need MOE documents again for 1 st extension?

Hello, I need to cancel an EDU visa and then leave the country for a bit and return on a visa on arrival. Im curious once it is cancelled with immigration via the school, how many days do I have before I need to leave? Is there much flexibility with this? Im concerned they will insist this is cancelled asap but my flight out isn't until Nov 5th. Is it possible to get a longer extension stamp to cover say a month once the visa is cancelled?

Thank you in advance.

Hi. My 6 month EDU visa ends Aug 20 (muay thai.) I'd like to stay at least 3 more months. Can I extend it or do I need to leave Thailand?

Tony Ortega...

[members only]

May I ask ?

Why did you delete and or close commenting on your post?

There was more good option advice being written ...but poof...but I could not reply on your post...???

My reply...

Get the 30 day extension you are entitled to by December 4th...

BUT

I suggest you go ASAP

Get the 30 days you are entitled to this week

AND go AGAIN by November 26th and apply for the 60 days COVID extension...

You may get lucky and get both 😊

Good Luck.

You asked...

"Hi guys. My 60 day visa runs out on December 4. Assuming immigration doesn't issue a covid-extension before November 26 (I have not done the 30 day extension yet). Once I get it that means I can stay until around January 4. From there what is the best way to restart the clock?

I really don't want to shell out $18k for an elite but... if the hassle is to great this might be my last resort. What is the most viable way to get more time without having to go all the way back to the US to restart the clock? Usually I just hop on a plane and spend a couple months in PI, Vietnam or Japan but since they are closed, this plan is a bit far fetched. Would Singapore be a good option? Any advice?"

My wife and I are on Edu visas that expire July 7. It's my understanding that we will have until July 31, and will then have to face the mass exodus of people trying to do a visa run or get new visa from a consulate outside of Thailand. As Americans, I am afraid to leave as I currently don't think Thailand will allow Americans back in due to COVID restrictions & infection numbers back in USA and "travel bubbles" for incoming international flights.

I have heard I am able to switch to a volunteer visaand stay another year while in country. Has anyone done this or have any other recommendations?

I am trying to avoid leaving Thailand for a visa run. I only want 1 year, so Elite will not work for me. 🙏
