Answer summary

Yes, you can apply for an education visa (ED visa) while in Thailand on a tourist visa. Your university will assist you with the necessary paperwork and guide you through the application process, whether through a Thai consulate/embassy or at an immigration office.

Your school will get the papers needed and guide you to apply for the ED Visa, or at a Thai Consulate/Embassy or at Immigration Office. It all depends on the school.
