TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain an Education Visa (ED Visa) in Thailand as a Pakistani national currently holding a short-term visa, you need to sign up for a course at a designated school. The school will provide the necessary paperwork for your visa application. However, you cannot convert your current visa while in Thailand; instead, you must travel to your home country or another designated country to apply for the ED visa. The application fee for the visa is approximately 2,000 THB. Additionally, you must attend classes regularly—typically at least 8 to 10 hours a week—to maintain your visa status.
The Embassies can accept Non B applications, but paperwork will be send to Bangkok for approval, that takes around 3 weeks while the applicant has to wait in Laos. I think for Non O n ED the applicant has to return home country.
Nasser yes it matters. If you want to get an Ed Visa you actually have to go to school. You can’t just sign up for a course and not go. This is the reason immigration is making it difficult for people who follow the laws of the land.
No, once you have all the paperwork from the school you would need to travel to a neighbouring country to get an ED visa. Many people choose Vientiane in Laos as it is close, cheap and easy. You can travel there by bus or you can fly.
, you need to be aware that people from some countries have to go back to their home country to get a visa (of any kind). Not everyone can go to a thai consulate in a neighboring country and get one.
You have to go back to Pakistan (either Islamabad or Karachi) to get ED visa (neighboring countries are not even options, currently), along with all the docs from your school/institute/university.
