Hi all quick question: coming from the States, I can do a visa on arrival, and then apply for a extension of stay while in country correct? I had a one year Non-O visa last year, was only issued a 90 Day single entry this year Non-O, and we are working to finalize getting my mother back into her house book in Buriram when I return next week. Any help is appreciated
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can enter Thailand with a Visa Exempt Entry instead of a Visa on Arrival and if they can apply for an Extension of Stay after that. Respondents confirm that the Visa Exempt Entry allows for an initial 30 days, with the possibility of extending for 30 more days at a local immigration office for 1900 THB. The user then questions whether a longer extension is possible or if they need to exit the country to apply for a tourist visa, especially given their personal circumstances involved in finalizing their mother's house registration and their Thai nationality.
