TLDR : Answer Summary
Some travelers have successfully entered Thailand using the visa exemption, while others have faced challenges at check-in due to misinformation about the visa exemption scheme. It's advisable to have official information ready, specifically from sources like the Thai Embassy in London, to prevent issues during travel.

Some have entered via visa exemption but some have encountered issues in check in due to lack of updated information regarding the Visa exemption scheme and have had check in staff being difficult insisting on having a visa.
So my advice is have this link and in red it states clearly the new rules on visa exemption so if any issues while checking in, it is there from the official website from RTE London
keep the link and have this available in the event of any difficulties. There was a post where the friend was at T5 and was boarding his flight and was refused boarding despite informing them if this updates rule from a agency checking staff checking in Qatar passengers. Also they are not directly employed by Qatar and work for various airlines.
They only realised the cock up when the flight left.
So please keep this link handy in the event and explain that on visa exemption. It is available and you do not need a visa.
your welcome. Hopefully it will not be an issue but always have a back up plan in case. Sometimes lack of any information causes untold distress to both parties.
