Hi everyone....I've done some initial research and read a few of the posts here. I'm still unsure about 2 things:
1. Can this all be done online? I read that it can, but if so why are so many people going to embassies?
2.I understand that I *might* be asked for monthly income proof but has anyone been approved if that amount is very low?
I most recently lost my main gig (even with that I was only making about $1000/mo.) and am currently doing some teaching and looking into other options.
I am currently in Hanoi, waiting for the DTV. Current status is “Pending Approval”.
In the application I included my hotel booking until tomorrow, adding a note to specify that I would have extended my permanence in Vietnam till visa issuance, without leaving the country.
While I wait for the visa to be (hopefully) issued, I know I cannot leave the country; but am I free to travel to South Vietnam?
Or I have to remain within the jurisdiction area of Hanoi Royal Thai embassy (South Vietnam would be area of HoChiMin Thai embassy instead)?
Of course, I would be ready to get back to Hanoi within 24 hours, if requested by the embassy for in-person interview.
Hi all. This might be a strange question but what is the minimum age of solo application for DTV? Is it 16,18 or even 21? Please let me know because there is no really confident answer on the internet. Thank you.
Hi everyone, I have a question about the DTV Soft Power visa.
I’m planning to apply around 18 December. The required 500k THB is in my parents’ account, not mine. If I transfer the money into my own account now, will that be a problem? Do they check how long the funds have been there, or only the balance on the application day?
I was planning to apply in Ho Chi Minh, but I can change cities if needed.
If anyone has recent experience, what should I be careful with? Any common reasons for rejection I should avoid?
Has anyone visited Thailand twice this year using visa exemption and the again since 17 Nov? Each visit being less than 30 days with no extension and returning back to home country.
I’ve not even started applying yet, I’m just looking for some help, I’m based in UK and we have the money in the account to demonstrate the 500k baht, do they focus more on the money or the job element on the application?
