TLDR : Answer Summary
Expat users shared their experiences and processing times for obtaining the Thai DTV from various locations worldwide. Responses varied widely, with applicants providing details such as 'one day' processing in Taipei and '3 weeks' in Dubai. Most recommended considering Indonesia for a smoother DTV application process, while highlighting the importance of checking local holidays that may affect the time taken.
i got mine yesterday. Submitted Apr 3rd Jakarta and got it on the 10th. took a few days because 3rd was Eid public holiday in Indo. would recommend if you fly to indo to get it done , get return flights for two weeks. i had to throw my initial return flight and buy a new one. so glad i have it now though,
Most of the people seems to recommend Indonesia. It took them 12 days. Due to Ramadan and other Indonesian+Thai public holidays.
You don't need to be in Jakarta for this. In fact, I highly recommend you fly somewhere else, such as Yogyakarta or Bali. However, if necessary, you should be ready to travel to Jakarta.
