Hello guys,

I apply in Hanoi and now they asked me for a document but I'm not sure what this document looks like.

My purpose is freelance, so I provided framework agreements with two agencies I work for.

Now the asked me for a "Business registration of company you're currently working with." Does it mean I have to ask my agencies to give me some document that prove they registered their businesses?

Thanks!

hello! looking for information from folks that have recently applied as a remote worker in Hanoi. both my partner and myself want to apply (canadian & american).

we have both had language ED visas in the past, and have spent many months over the years in Thailand. I see a lot of info in this chat about extra documents requested, i’ll list here what i’m seeing as necessary. please add your experience and any other documentation you needed!

also, i see people recommending folks to check the specific embassy’s requirements for documentation, but i’m not finding that information on Hanoi’s website outside of the basic requirements.

documents to provide:

- cover letter explaining past and present work and what i’ve been doing in thailand

- work contracts (freelancer from september, employed from jan 1st)

- CV

- examples of my work

- record of employment

- my employer’s company incorporation/registration as a 501c3

- letter from employer about me working remotely

- bank statements showing 500k from how many months? showing incoming payments from my employer. i also was a freelancer being paid in crypto before, should i include that?

- other basic docs like passport scan, passport photo, vietnam entry stamp, vietnam hotel booking

thanks in advance for any support!

Hi everybody

My retirement visa expires on October 8th.

I transfered money on my bank account in order to have the 800k 2 months before my visa application at immigration office.

I waited too long to update my bookbank and now the transfer doesn't appear on it.(didn't know that if you don't update it regularly old transactions won't appear).

I will anyway need a bank statement but do you think that the transfer not showing on the bookbank and the balance>800k not showing as well at the date I transfered the money might cause a problem?

My IO is Petchaburi.

Does anyone have the list of the required documents there ?

Guess it's the same than in other offices but wanted to be sure

Thank you

I entered Thailand on a visa exempt, extended my visa for 30 days. The immigration officer I saw told my wife for us to come back for a 90 day 'O' visa. My question is what documentation will be required, for the 90 day 'O' visa I already have sufficient funds in a Thai bank, but it would not be in for the 60 days prior to applying for the 90 day. If granted after the 90 day visa I can then apply for a retirement visa as we were told we would have to go to Bangkok for a Marriage/Spouse visa.

Thanks in advance.

I am getting married to a Thai man, and the day we would like to legally get married is only 24 days before my Covid visa expires. I’ve read a lot of mixed things online about whether I need 15 or 30 days remaining. Is there any certain amount of time I need to be married before getting a visa? Or a set amount of time left on my visa?

Current visa situation:

Entered on tourist visa, then Covid visa, then ED visa, and now back to Covid visa.
