Does anyone have any advice for completing a uk visa application online. I am finding it very difficult to provide all the information. Any help would be appreciated. It is asking for letter of invitation to visit my girlfriend etc.

Sorry, I don´t mean to hijack the op, but I have a related question. What if you are renting a condo around the year and paying monthly rent. And you have a rental contract for that. Will that do? Or do you really still need to make a booking with some hotel and use that info?

I had the same problem about 2 months ago. It only accepts a photo of passport or similar, so as I invited myself I uploaded my passport again and it was accepted within a day.

I found it very hard and still filling out my wife’s visa in the Uk. Where it asks for letter of invitation, if you’re not being invited, upload your hotel conf again. Sounds weird but it’s true. They should have help tags beside each question to state exactly what it wants and alternatives.

That does not work, you made the choice to reside at a private property and that is why you get the questio.

Change your choice into hotel to avoid the invitation letter.

Ask your girlfriend to write an e-mail to you where in she invites you to stay at the private property.

Like; I, name id number will invite name passport to stay from date until date at my address xxxx in city xxxxx signed by name.
