TLDR : Answer Summary
The possibility of applying for a 5-year visa in Thailand as a semi remote worker largely depends on the nature of your work. It's essential to verify the specific requirements from the Thai embassy you plan to apply through, as they can vary. This visa is intended for individuals whose work is conducted remotely from outside Thailand, meaning that if any work is done within Thailand, this visa may not be suitable. Furthermore, your employment contract should explicitly state that you are allowed to work remotely from Thailand, as semi-remote arrangements might not qualify.

Either your employment contract has to directly indicate, or your employer has to separately confirm that you are free to work remotely (from Thailand). Not sure if semi-remote will cut it. Need to ask the consulate.

If you are doing any of your work inside Thailand then this visa does not apply to you. It is only for work done remotely outside of Thailand while you stay in Thailand. That is what I understand you by saying semi remote work.
then you will be okay, as long as they will issue you a signed letter saying you work for them, and a bank statement showing that you have the equivalent of at least 500,000 baht in your personal bank account.

if that spiderweb tattoo means what it's supposed to mean, then no. Otherwise you're a poser and the answer is still no.

You need to check what the requirements are for the Thai embassy you'll be applying through. They all have different requirements.
if you are in India you apply at a Thai consulate in India. I don't know their requirements but you may need a letter from the company you sub contract to, and possibly a tax return
lucky you. So am I but my income comes from the UK so have to pay tax there unfortunately. But something to be aware of, if you spend 180 days or more inside Thailand in any calendar year you become tax resident and any income you then bring into Thailand becomes taxable in Thailand.
it may be easier for you but I'm not sure you would qualify for it as its designed for people working remotely from within Thailand. You'd need to check with the consulate you want to apply from and see what they say.
