I would like to avoid uncertainty and possible Denied entry via exempt stamp, is this website to apply just via my local government/Thai embassy site? (UK if anyone has the official link 🙏🏼)
Is it all done via online now then? I haven’t needed a tourist visa since the days of going into the office in person.
I was planning to come for roughly an 8 week holiday and have my return flight and some flights to island trips if need to show a long with addresses.
Applying for single entry tourist visa in Vientiane. If I had several recent visits does that effect this application? Any rule about that for maximum days spent in thailand over the last year?
I had three exempts with extensions last year. Currently in Bali for one month and applying for a single entry tourist visa. Coming in Don Mueang by end of month.
Is it clever to get a single entry or would you rather recommend not getting a visa but do exempt plus fast track?
How are my chances to enter Thailand at DMK with an approved single entry tourist visa? I can still get denied by local immigration? Is it's just the same as an exemption?
Hi any advice would be great but i think i have messed up, i applied for a single entry tourist visa, it has been approved but it says it’s valid till the 9th of november but i am there till the 26th, does that mean i have to leave thailand by the 9th or use the visa before the 9th thanks in advance steve
Hi I am looking at all tourist visa options. Normally stay in Thailand under 60 days so visa excempt is ok. My next trip will include Thailand and travel by air to other SE Countries. My first Thailand stop will be approx 85 days, then travel via air out and then plan to return to Thailand for 60 days before flying back to UK.
Am I correct in reading that even on a tourist single entry visa you can only stay for 60 days each time and then need to extend?
How long is processing time for single entry tourist visa application at Vientiane/Savannakhet consulates (and where is the shortest for that matter Laos or otherwise)? Does it really take 10 ~ 15 days?
Does one have to be the resident or national of the country at where you're filing the application from to be eligible for SETV (METV only?).
Also, at what point do you have to pay up the application fee? The applicant is in CM now where he will file online SE tourist visa application from. It is assumed it takes at least two days to travel from CM to Vientiane via Thai-Lao friendship bridge. Does that give the applicant enough time window to go make application fee payment at the embassy/consulate when he is called to pay up?
Is there any advantage to getting a Single Entry Tourist Visa (UK) if I plan to stay in Thailand for 3-5 months?
Would it help in any way with a visa run (by air) after the initial 60+30 days expire?
Or would it be a waste of money, and I'd be better off just arriving without a visa, using the free 60-day entry + 30-day extension, then doing a visa run and hoping to get another 60 days?
Hi, Can I apply for an evisa while in UK for single entry tourist visa...but fly and spend a week in Malaysia first? So in other words have the visa ready from the UK while I am in the UK? Or would I need to apply for single entry while in Malaysia?
I'm hoping someone can please help as I'm new to travelling to thailand, I have been there only once on single entry tourist visa. For reference I have an Australian passport.
I would like to return to CNX for the period of 6 to 9 months (9 preferred). From some research it seems like you are able to do this on Single entry tourist visa or multiple entry tourist visa. From my understanding:
1. Single entry tourist visa - 60 days, +30 day extension. Go to neighbouring country before 90 days expire, for 1 or 2 days e.g., Laos, and apply for another single entry visa at the local thai embassy. Repeat every 3 months. Are there any potential complications with this process, like to be refused entry to thailand, or processing delays in Laos etc (how long does it usaully take to get the stamp?). I have never done this before, any advice here is appreciated. Do people usaully bring their checked luggage when going for the new visa or just leave it inside your thai accommodation?
1. METV - It is valid for 6 months and you can stay for 90 days each. Does this mean you can stay for 6 months total as long as you exit and re-enter after 90 days? Is there any way to use this visa to stay longer than 6 months? Really appreciate if someone can explain this cause I don't understand this visa.
Any advice or corrections will be highly appreciated.
Very new to the process but I have family in Thailand i would like to live with/visit.
